Bella Swan zawsze byla trochę inna.Nigdy nie biegla za tlumem. Nigdy nie obchodziła jej moda, ani plastikowe dziewczny z liceum Arizona, w phoenix. Kiedy jej matka ponownie wychodzi za maz, a Bella wybiera zycie ze swoim ojcem w deszczowym miasteczku Forks w Waszyngtonie, nie spodziewa sie że coś się zmieni. Ale wszystko się zmienia gdy poznaje tejemniczego i olsniewajaco przystojnego Edwarda Cullena. Edward jest inny niz kazdy chlopak ktorego spotykala do tej pory. Jest inteligentny, blyskotliwy i wydaje się zaglądać do jej duszy. Z czasem ich znajomośc przeradza się w romans płomienny i niekonwencojnalny - nieortodoksyjnie, poniewaz Edward naprawde nie jest jak inny chlopcy. On może działać szybciej niż puma.
