  Believe it or not, more and more young people strat their first job being much elder than their parents were in the past. There are many speculations over this tendency in society. Some people say that the young do not start working early in life because they simply can 't find a decent job. They often do not decide to take a job which doesn 't make profit. Other people point to the fact that parents' attitude is the crux of the problem. They allow their children to stay at home instead of encouraging them to leave. As every tendency, this entails certain consequences that seem to be rather negative than positive. Let 's discuss the matter in a more detailed way.
  
  First of all, young people start their first job later than their parents did. This may have an economic basis. Employers offer low salaries for inexperienced workers. Such workers would like to earn as much as the ordinary staff. In this way, we enter the economic market game, namely the mutual relationship between demand and supply. There is no balance between these two things. Candidates are not satisfied with the salary so they do not apply for a given job. Thus, the supply - workforce - is low. In the meantime, employers demand people who would like to work for low salaries, so the demand is high. As you can see, the distance between what we can give and what we can get is big. We need some compromise. Either young people should decide to work for lower salary or emplyers should lower their demands.
  
  Secondly, young people decide not to start working as early as their parents did because they feel safe at home. Their parents are rich and think that they can afford them for a few years. This is because they want to give them more than they got in the past. Also, they do not encourage children to leave home and to look for job because they do not want to lose contact with their off-spring. The world is cruel and who knows what may happen. Only well-prepared people will survive.
  
  As far as the consequences of this tendency are concerned, they are rather negative than positive. Staying at home for a long time may destroy your assertiveness, energy and interpersonal skills. You may get used to being jobless and you may never start working. Moreover, employers want young workers rather than elder because they are more efficient. Chances of being employed gradually dicrease as you get older. What is more, if you do not work, you may start to focus on unnecessary things and your life may turn into a nightmare. You may become mentally sick due to lack of activity.
  
  On the whole, you can 't live at home. Everyone needs to function within a society. You have to meet people, talk to them, stay with them. Otherwise, sooner or later you will turn into a horrible person who grumbles and complains about everything. The world is wide-open. You need to cross 'the border' and start living your life to the full - your own life.
