Dear Diary,
It is so hot today it is difficult to write!
Summer is definitely early this year! I went
swimming with Mary after school . There
were lots of people at the pool ,so we had
lots of fun. Jim, The boy that Mary likes ,
was there, too. It was so funny because
Mary was pretending she didn't notice
him. Afterwards we came home together
to study for the maths test tomorrow.
At dinner, Mum nagged me again about
how untidy my room is. She sounded quite
angry, so I'd better be careful...

Dear Diary,
9.00 p.m
I've had a terrible day. It started off badly,
with Mum nagging me about my room all
through breakfast . Then at school we had
that awful maths test. Mary and I have got
completely different answers, and Mary is
better at maths than I am, so I think I got
everything wrong! Then we wanted to go
swimming, but- just our luck- it started raining
just as the final bell rang, so we had to run home.
I had the whole afternoon to myself but guess what!
Mum made me clean my room! I’m really fed up!

Dear Diary,
Today was wonderful, completely the
Opposite of yesterday. My mark in the
maths test was quite good. I n fact, Mary
was the one who did badly this time! At home ,
Mum was so impressed by how well I had tidied
my room that she gave me some extra pocket money!
But I’ve left the best for last. I went swimming with Mary.
Jim was at the pool too, and he’s got a gorgeous friend
called Phil. He looks just like Mark from Westlife, and he
asked me to go to the disco with him on Saturday night!!!
Of course, I said yes! We’ll all go together, and we’ll have
a brilliant time!
